Do you need community service hours?
Osceola History is offering teens an opportunity to earn community service hours in a dynamic environment.
The number of hours that you can earn depends on your availability and enthusiasm.
What can teens do as volunteers at Osceola History?
Opportunities for teens include participation in Special Events and Outreach tasks, including playing a role in one or both of our premier annual events;
- Pioneer Day (held late fall)
- Dine with the Departed, (held in the spring, mostly reenactor positions)
The above require only a short term commitment, though we hope that you will stay with us for a while.
How do I get an official copy of my volunteer hours?
We will provide you with a link to request your hours through the volunteer management system.
Reports can also be sent directly to your supervisor through email.
Who keeps track of your volunteer hours?
We do that together.
You will be given access to our volunteer management system to enter any hours that you volunteer, including:
What do you have to do?
- Complete and submit an application below.
- Have the permission of a parent or guardian to participate.
- Attend an orientation meeting and other required meetings.
- Perform the task or tasks assigned at the event or events.
Please note: Only volunteers who complete the task or tasks assigned will be sent an official hours report.
