2020: Pioneer Day postponed
Pioneer Day has been postponed for 2020 due to safety considerations related to COVID. You can still visit us at our new monthly Living History Day events. This will be like a mini Pioneer Day with re-enactors and living history demonstrations. These monthly outdoor events will allow us to provide a unique visitor experience while at the same time protect the health and safety of our visitors, volunteers and staff.
We appreciate all of you who have participated in Pioneer Day over the past 28 years, and we hope to continue with the event in 2021.
Living History Days
Beginning in October 2020 we will host Living History Days on the second Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Pioneer Village. Each month will feature a specific theme and related activities. Admission is $8 for adults and includes free admission for 2 children under 12 with each paid adult admission. Check our website and social media for more updates.
The annual Pioneer Day celebrates Osceola County’s first residents and the pioneering spirit of the late 19th century. Step back in time at this annual festival hosted at the Pioneer Village at Shingle Creek in Kissimmee.
Pioneer Day is a free, family-friendly event featuring live music, a kids’ craft zone, a real Florida Market, and pioneer and Seminole life demonstrations. As visitors explore the Pioneer Village they will learn how Florida Seminoles and early pioneer families lived off the land long before electricity and air conditioning.
