In 1971, Magic Kingdom opened the Main Gates to visitors from all across the country: beginning what is now known as the World’s attractions Hub. Immediately following in Disney’s footsteps, Seaworld snapped up land and began construction on their third park to open in Orlando in December 1973: ensuring “You’ll have a whale of a time.” Seeing the success of its competitors, Universal Studios opened its Florida theme park in 1990.
