Share your COVID-19 story
The first pioneers to arrive in Osceola County faced many challenges as they settled into the pinelands and swamps of Central Florida. Throughout the years, Osceola County residents have rose to the challenges of their times, but few of us have experienced anything like the coronavirus pandemic.
It’s rare that a museum such as ours has the opportunity to collect contemporary history. We invite you to share your coronavirus experience while the memories are still fresh in our minds. You can share your personal story, journal entries, social media posts, photographs, notices posted by businesses and organizations, and health care related items. Tell us what it was like as you learned to work from home or be furloughed from your job, attended virtual school, and what it meant to “social distance.” All these things are part of our everyday lives right now, but one day in the future someone will wonder what it was like to live through the 2020 coronavirus pandemic in Osceola County.
To share your story, complete the form below. Let us know if you have an object you would like to donate, and our curator will contact you with further instructions.
Thank you for helping us preserve this time in history for future generations.
